Team Building Games: Emotional Intelligence (EI) is at the heart of effective team functioning. This is as true for families as it is for organizations. The skills of EI can be taught and are broken into self-skills and others-skills.
Self skills: One’s own thoughts, emotions, reactions and behaviours.
Others Skills: Listening, encouraging and being aware of the thoughts and emotions of others
Discovering how to motivate and organize oneself, recover from setbacks and communicate your ideas is the first piece in effective team work. Learning how to bring out the best in others, provide useful feedback and develop a deep respect for the value added by each individual is the second piece
In a safe environment built on the fun of team games, group discussion and personal reflection, participants have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of themselves specifically in the context of the team. How do they communicate? How do they listen? How do they lead? Follow?
In this one day event, your team will:
- Work together to reach challenging goals in team initiatives
- Learn valuable communication, organization and time management skills
- Deepen their understanding of themselves and others
- Deepen their ability to work and function as a team
